5 Questions with Dan Cederquist

In this month's edition of 5 Questions we caught up with Dan Cederquist - a dear friend of ours for 20+years since Walt's days at DeLoach Vineyards. Dan is the head winemaker at Matchbook Winery and is a consulting winemaker at other wineries. He is a true artisan and was a proponent of CapaBunga from even before we knew we'd turn it into a business.

In his downtime (like he ever has much of that) he produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under the Starfish label (a fun joke from 4th of July trips we used to spend with him in Lake Tahoe) He also produces Kingfish Cabernet Sauvignon and Rockfish Zinfandel. He continues to put a CapaBunga on every single one of the Starfish bottles and even recycles them with restaurateurs and retailers that carry the wines. Last weekend we helped Dan bottle up his latest vintage of delicious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It was a classic day of locals pitching in to help a friend make bottling a little smoother along with a picnic lunch on the hill - wine country livin'! Pinch Me!
