  2. Preheat Properly: Preheat your grill for at least 15 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents food from sticking.
  3. Oil the Grates: Lightly oil the grates before placing your food on them to create those beautiful grill marks and prevent sticking.

Steak Cooking Techniques

  1. Choose the Right Cut: For the best results, choose high-quality cuts like ribeye, striploin, or filet mignon. Look for good marbling for extra flavor.
  2. Season Generously: Season your steak with salt and pepper just before grilling. For an extra kick, add a dash of garlic powder or your favorite steak rub.
  3. Perfect Timing: Grill your steak over high heat for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, 4-5 minutes for medium, and 5-6 minutes for well-done. Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking – 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, and 160°F for well-done.
  4. Check for Doneness: Use the hand method to check for doneness. Touch your thumb to your index finger and feel the fleshy part below your thumb – this is how a rare steak should feel. For medium-rare, touch your thumb to your middle finger. For medium, use your ring finger, and for well-done, use your pinky.
  5. Rest Your Steak: Let your steak rest for 5 minutes after grilling. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and flavorful steak.

  1. Keep a Safe Distance: Place your grill at least 10 feet away from any structures or flammable materials. Safety first!
